Askilu (also operating as Askilu), operated by Vimarsa Tech LLC ("we," "us," "our"), provides this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies regarding collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our entertainment services.

BY USING OUR SERVICES, YOU CONSENT TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY. If you do not agree, do not use our services. We may update this policy at any time without notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.

2. IMPORTANT NOTICE - ENTERTAINMENT SERVICES

REMINDER: Askilu/Askilu provides ENTERTAINMENT SERVICES ONLY. Any data collected is used solely to provide entertainment content. We are not a medical, financial, legal, or professional service provider.

We collect information you provide directly to us:

Account Data: Name, email, password (encrypted)
Birth Data: Date, time, and location of birth for entertainment calculations
Payment Data: Processed by Stripe (we do NOT store credit card numbers)
Communications: Support emails, chatbot interactions
Usage Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent
Device Data: Device type, operating system, unique identifiers

4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use collected information to:

Provide our entertainment services (generate reports, charts)
Process payments and prevent fraud

We retain your personal data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. We may retain certain information for legitimate business purposes or as required by law. You may request deletion, but we may retain anonymized data for analytics.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure servers, and access controls. However, NO METHOD OF TRANSMISSION OVER THE INTERNET IS 100% SECURE. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You use our services at your own risk.

9. INTERNATIONAL USERS AND GDPR

IMPORTANT: Askilu is operated from California, USA and our services are primarily intended for users in the United States. We do not specifically target or market to users in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom.

IF YOU ACCESS OUR SERVICES FROM OUTSIDE THE US: You do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local laws. By using our services, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in the United States.

EU/EEA/UK USERS: If you are located in the EU, EEA, or UK and choose to use our services, you have additional rights under GDPR including: the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object. To exercise these rights, contact support@askilu.com with "GDPR Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days.

LEGAL BASIS: For users in GDPR jurisdictions, our legal basis for processing is: (a) your consent when you create an account, (b) performance of our contract to provide services, and (c) our legitimate business interests in operating our entertainment platform.

10. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS - CCPA RIGHTS

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the following rights:

Right to Know: You have the right to request information about the personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you
Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information (subject to certain legal exceptions)
Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information. IMPORTANT: WE DO NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights

How to Exercise Your Rights: To exercise any of these rights, email support@askilu.com with "CCPA Request" in the subject line. We will respond to your request within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We DO NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We only share data with service providers necessary to operate our entertainment services (such as Stripe for payment processing).

11. COOKIES AND TRACKING

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

Remember your preferences
Analyze usage patterns
Prevent fraud

You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work properly.

12. "DO NOT TRACK" SIGNALS

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) Disclosure: Some web browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals to websites. Because there is no universally accepted standard for how to respond to DNT signals, we currently do not respond to DNT signals. However, we do not track users across third-party websites and do not share your personal data with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

13. DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law. For California residents, notification will occur within 72 hours of discovery if the breach is reasonably likely to result in harm. Notification will be provided via email to the address associated with your account.

We maintain reasonable security practices including encryption, access controls, and monitoring to prevent unauthorized access. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

14. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our services are NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it immediately. Parents/guardians may contact us if they believe we have inadvertently collected such information.

15. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your information is processed in the United States. By using our services, you consent to transfer and processing of your information in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

16. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our services may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their privacy policies before providing any information.

17. NO GUARANTEE OF PRIVACY

While we use commercially reasonable efforts to protect your data, we CANNOT GUARANTEE complete security or privacy. Data breaches may occur. You acknowledge this risk and use our services at your own discretion.

18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any damages arising from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access to your information. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

19. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any disputes regarding this Privacy Policy shall be resolved through binding arbitration in California, not in court. You waive any right to class action proceedings.
